'76 Crew - 4-Week Creator Cohort

Build a real voice. Create real work.

Leave with a publishable Signature Piece.

Program Window: March 23 - April 19, 2026

Cost: No application fee. No participation fee. No tuition.

$500 Award: Complete the program, earn a $500 cash award.

A tight, creator-first cohort for people who care about substance, honesty, and craft.

In 4 weeks, you'll go from "I have ideas" to "I have a lane, a format, and something real to show for it."

What makes '76 Crew different

Most creator programs teach shortcuts. We teach independent thinking, civil debate and craft.

76 Crew exists to build creators people can trust. We teach clarity, craft, and intellectual honesty so your work holds up under scrutiny. No rage-bait, no cheap shots, no algorithm worship. You ship something real, and you learn how to keep shipping.

We create culture rather than chase it.

The 76 promise

By the end of 4 weeks, you will have:

  • A clear creator thesis (what you cover, why it matters, and how you approach it)
  • A defined lane + primary format that fits your strengths (not trends)
  • A finished Signature Piece that's publishable and portfolio-ready
  • A simple repeatable plan for what you make next - without guessing

Not a theory. Not "someday." A real plan.

What you get

  • Live sessions with working guidance (not lectures)
  • Professional guest speakers
  • Structured feedback loops to iterate fast
  • Small cohort community for accountability and momentum
  • $500 award (The $500 participation grant is for completing the participation requirements and is not contingent on graduation or evaluation.)

What you will learn

You'll learn how to operate like a serious creator:

  • Sharpening POV and voice without abandoning civil debate
  • Choosing formats intentionally (studio, field, investigative, comedy/satire, voice-driven, etc.)
  • Crafting pieces that hold attention - hook, structure, pacing, landing
  • Producing clean, credible content using simple workflows
  • Handling scrutiny, criticism, and bad-faith attention without spiraling into reactive posting

Graduation + opportunities

Graduation is earned through your creative growth in the cohort. If you choose to submit a Signature Piece for review, we'll evaluate it against a clear quality standard (thesis clarity, fair framing, credible sourcing, clean audio, strong structure). Participants whose work meets the standard may be recognized as program graduates.

Top performers may be considered for future opportunities in the 76 network (collabs, contributor work, production roles, development).

No guarantees. Participation does not promise representation, compensation, or a long-term deal.

What we require from you

We expect:

  • Full participation for the 4 weeks
  • Willingness to take feedback and iterate
  • Deliverables submitted on time
  • Intellectual honesty and respectful engagement

If you want overnight fame, prewritten talking points, or a low-effort experience - this isn't it.
